"Luminance" Extra Brut (Sparkling) 2019

Luminance captures the elegance, finesse, and pure expression of Chardonnay, crafted exclusively from the distinguished terroirs of Baslieux-sous-Châtillon. It reveals the vibrant minerality of hard limestone, the subtle smokiness of flint, and the refined, lingering bitterness of white clay. A luminous reflection of its origin.

Story: Franck Pascal was one of the first biodynamic growers in Champagne and remains one of its most passionate and gifted winemakers. He meticulously cares for 7 hectares in the Vallée de La Marne with what he calls, “a deep sensitivity for nature and the energy forces in our vines.” Fluence is at first a subtle Champagne, but time reveals a depth and complexity that reveals the hand of a passionate biodynamic grower and winemaker. Franck calls this wine the gateway to his range and says it is, “ideal to share with friends”. Each vintage the percentage of each grapes change in the blend, with the style of the cuvée remains consistent.

Vinification: 45 year-old vines growing on flint, millstone and hard limestone soils. Grapes are hand-harvested, gently pressed and placed in an enamelled vat for the first alcoholic fermentation. Indigenous yeasts only, and kept on its lees for over 4 years, before being disgorded in September 2024 Unfined, unfiltered and zero dosage.
