IGP Gresivaudan "Freres Giac" (Red) 2024
Harvest: Hand-harvested into crates, in whole bunches.
Winemaking: Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 2 to 5 days, followed by maceration for 5 to 6 days before pressing.
Aging: Aged on fine lees.
Terroir: Situated at an altitude of 180 m, on a molasse base covered with alluvial deposits from the Isère River. Sandy-gravelly soil with pebbles.
Tasting Notes: The wine displays a fairly light color with orange highlights. The nose is expressive, with aromas of strawberry, spices, and Havana cigars. Following a bold attack of wild berries (redcurrants, strawberries, and raspberries), the palate opens to a round, balanced texture with a sweet finish.
Food & Wine Pairing: A mature, deep wine that pairs beautifully with cheese or rib of beef.
Shelf Life: 2 to 5 years.
