IGT Toscana "Uva Matta Bianco" (White) 2021

An energetic and expressive Tuscan white made from a traditional field blend. It’s crisp and vibrant, with notes of citrus, fresh orchard fruit, and delicate florals. The palate has a gentle texture, a clear mineral streak, and a slightly savoury, untamed edge that reflects its low-intervention style.

Terroir:

Grown in hillside vineyards around 500m elevation near Monte Amiata, where a mix of soils and old mixed plantings bring both freshness and layered complexity.

Age of the vines:

Sourced from very old vineyards, often between 80 and over 100 years old, planted as a mix of varieties in the same plot.

Vinification:

Different grape varieties are fermented together using natural yeasts, with brief skin contact. The wine is aged in neutral containers, then bottled without fining or filtration and with minimal sulphur.

Food pairing:

Pairs well with seafood, vegetable-based dishes, light pasta, and soft fresh cheeses.
