Rías Baixas "Cos Pés" - If you like Albariño, and you like orange wine, then you’re going to love this! This is one of the best skin contact Albariños we’ve ever tried. It has a lovely aromatic and floral complexity balanced by a moreish saltiness making it a great wine to pair with food. Forjas del Salnes - otherwise known as the highly respected Raul Perez, and Rodrigo Mendez one of the biggest names in the Rias Baixas. This pair really know how to make great wines!

Match it with: Shellfish risotto or Spaghetti alle Vongole.

Terroir: Granitic and sandy soil.

Age of the vines: 60  to 100 years old vines

Vinification: Harvested by hand with only the very best grapes making it into the wine // "Cos Pès" translates to "Con Los Pies" = "with the feet" in Galician // Using whole bunch fermentation, the grapes are crushed by foot, and the juice is left in contact with the skins in an open tank for 2 months // The cap is gently pushed down by hand every day to keep the flow of oxygen and achieve a gentle extraction of colour and tannins // After pressing, the wine is racked in 500L old barrels for 1 year.
