A Pinot Meunier-dominant blend, with 78% Meunier, 19% Pinot Noir and a hint of Chardonnay. A fresh nose of pear, nectarine, and a hint of chalk. More intense red and orchard fruit on the palate sharpened by a note of of lemon pith. Roundness, power and a heavier weight on the palate. A long mineral finish with the crispness you’d expect from a zero dosage Champagne. Lean and refreshing yet complex, with length and structure. Franck calls this a “sommelier's champagne” as it is great for a group with mixed tastes.
