Terroir: Stoney screes of the Mont Granier, between marnes and limestone rocks.

Age of vines: 25 years old

Vinification: Back in 2017, Domaine Giachino didn’t produce enough Gamay and had to blend it with some Mondeuse. The result was so good, fresh, youthful and textured that the estate added this blend to the range. Grapes are handpicked. Whole bunch maceration in stainless steel vat. The maceration process lasts for ten to twenty days depending on the vintage. During this period they pump the wine daily, taking care not to crush the grapes. Following the maceration process, they rack the wine out of vats and aged in barrels (600 litre capacity) on the lees, until bottling.
