100% Gamay made with carbonic maceration – creating a classic, well-balanced Beaujolais of the highest quality. Lots of red cherries and strawberries, a hint of salinity and a surprisingly layered texture. A fresh, delicate wine with fine-grained tannins and more intensity than many Cru Beaujolais. Best served slightly chilled.

Anthony Thévenet is of the rising stars of Beaujolais, and his wines are gathering global acclaim from even those usually skeptical of the region. This is a Village cuvée, made from a blend of grapes from 3 tiny plots in the village of Lancié.

Vinification: Grown on sandy soils. Grapes undergo carbonic maceration for 8-10 days, depending on the vintage. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, no pumping-over. The wine is aged for 6 months in cement, and is unfined and unfiltered.

Match it with: Ideal as an apéritif, or with charcuterie and light cheeses.
