This is a 100% Mourvèdre rosé with a deep, hazy colour and intense fruit notes. Grapefruit and red apple topped by hints of herbs from the surrounding fields of garrique. Lively acidity and a savoury finish. This is a determined, characterful rosé that reflects those same qualities in its maker.

Ludovic Engelvin grew up in the Langeudoc, but is most heavily influenced by his time working alongside Didier Dagueneau and the wines of the world he tasted while working as a sommelier. Ludovic believes in growing only the right variety on the right terroir, and often creates new cuvées if the conditions and grapes provide the opportunity. Due to both logistical and climate problems, Ludovic was only able to make two cuvées in 2021. This deep pink wine is the result of the heavy rains, which led to extra juicy grapes that were prefect for making this style of savoury rosé.

Vinification: Mourvèdre grapes from 40 year-old vines growing on sandstone and clay soils. Grapes are hand picked and sent direct to press, and vinified in stainless steel. Vinified and bottled without sulphur. It is unfined and unfiltered.

Match it with: Ludovic suggests this is the perfect pairing for Mediterranean food.
