Bright red in the glass, intense aromatics and complexity on the nose with red fruits and wild strawberries. Velvety texture and fine silky tannins greet you on the palate and a saline finish.

Jean-Charles took over the estate in 2000 from his father Antoine Abbatucci, and thanks to him 18 native Corsican varieties have been preserved. In this blend Jean-Charles works with 7 of them, grown across 18 hectares of vines on granite soils situated 100 meters above sea level. Since 2016 the vineyards for this cuvée have been cared for using seawater.

Vinification: Grapes are harvested by hand and fermentation followed by a 25-day maceration in stainless steel takes place. A combination of punch down and pump overs are used to extract further flavour before pressing. Maturation takes place in a combination of concrete eggs and 600l barrels for 12 months prior to blending and bottling.

Match it with: Roasted leg of lamb or Tuna Tataki.
