This cuvée is usually Xinomavro a with a touch of Roditis, but in this vintage no Roditis was used, making this 2021 a 100% Xinomavro. A pale red with notes of fresh and dried red fruits along with wild herbs, tomato and a hint of spice. A lighter style red that pairs well with bbq and summer fare.

The Story: Ktima Ligas was founded in 1985 in Thessaloniki, Greece by Thomas Ligas, with a quest to revive both the traditional varieties and traditional agriculture of the Pella region through respect and cooperation with nature. Today the Domaine is run by his daughter Meli, who continues the focus on permaculture and local grapes, and adapts her cuvées to each vintage, parcel and variety. Winemaker Meli Ligas says the idea of this cuvée was, “to make a light, easy to drink red for a hot summer.”
