A champagne-style Extra Brut sparkling wine, no dosage. Dry and saline in the mouth with an Indian tonic and bitter lemon finish. Vibrant and mineral, that only a wine with age can deliver.
Le Clos de la Meslerie is a wine-making estate in the Vouvray Appellation of France, in the Loire Valley about 15km from the city of Tours. The property itself dates from the early 1600’s and grapes have been grown on the estate for centuries. The vines from which the wine is made today range from 20 to 60 years of age. But winemaking, like most creative endeavours, is about much more than the facts.
