"Roc'h Avel" means "the rock of the wind", a small island off the Brittany coast. 

This cuvée from Terre de L'Elu is an exciting bouquet of liquorice and fennel to begin, leading
to ripe pear and fresh almonds. A saline freshness and aniseed flavour on the palate. Full-bodied, yet at the same time tender and elegant. 

Serve around 12°C. Ready for drinking now, will keep up to ten years.

Match it with: Shellfish and seafood, but also fresh goat’s cheese with olive oil and herbs.

Vinification: Old vines in the exceptional schist and quartz terroir of L’Aiglerie. The grapes are hand-harvested, whole bunches are direct pressed, natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts is stainless steel. Aged for 10 to 12 months on fine lees with no stirring.

Average age of vines: 70 years old from L'Aiglerie parcel.
