A rare demi-sec 100% Grenache Blanc, made only in this year. “It was the climate that made me make this wine,” says Ludovic. A hot vintage led to sweeter grapes, and the wine reveals lush notes of baked apple, with almond and a hint of dried fruit. Good acidity and freshness balance the touch of residual sugar, and the flavours linger on the palate.

Ludovic Engelvin grew up in the Langeudoc, but is most heavily influenced by his time working alongside Didier Dagueneau and the wines of the world he tasted while working as a sommelier. Ludovic believes in growing only the right variety on the right terroir, and often creates new cuvées if the conditions and grapes provide the opportunity. This cuvée takes its name from the top temperature of the 2019 season, which was recorded in June!! The vintage was heavily challenged by drought, and the result is concentrated grapes bursting with fruit flavours.

Vinification: These Grenache Blanc vines grow on primarily limestone slopes, using no synthetic treatments or Sulphur. Grapes are hand harvested, pressed directly, and vinified in stainless steel tanks using only indigenous yeasts. The wine matures for 12 months in the same tanks before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Match it with: Mature cheeses, fruit desserts or lightly spiced dishes.
