If you like Albariño, and you like orange wine, then you’re going to love this! For us, this is one of the best skin contact Albariños we’ve ever tried. It has a lovely aromatic and floral complexity which is balanced by a moreish saltiness making it a great wine to pair with food. Match it with shellfish risotto or Spaghetti alle Vongole. Made by: Forjas del Salnes was created by the great Spanish winemaker Raul Perez and Rodrigo Mendez, one of the biggest names in the Rias Baixas. This pair really know how to make great wines - all of which are longing to be opened and enjoyed with friends & family.

Terroir: Granitic and sandy soil.

Age of the vines: 60  to 100 years old vines

Vinification: Harvested by hand and selection of the best grapes. "Cos Pès" means in Gallego "Con Los Pies" = "with the feet". Whole bunch fermentation. During the first 2 days, the grapes are crushed with the feet, and then the juice and the skin are put in an open tank. The skins are pushed down by hand every day to keep them moist. Maceration with the skin for 2 months. After pressing, the wine is racked in 500L old barrels for 1 year.
