Description
The flagship wine from Ampeleia represents the beginning, the pride and excellence of the estate. Dark in colour, this wine is a perfect example of the harmonious blend of different Cabernet Franc parcels. Its minerality speaks elegantly of the Roccatederighi terroir and you can lose yourself in forest berries, balsamic notes, aromatic herbs and spices; deep, with silky tannins.
Terroir: Roccatederighi and Cabernet Franc have a rare synergy, capable of expressing the full potential of both. The Cabernet is a pure expression of the clay-limestone soil from 450m to 600m above sea level in the village of Roccatederighi.
Vinification: 15% whole-bunch fermentation // aged for 12 months in wooden barrels and a minimum of 2 years in the bottle.
