An earthy and elegant 100% Meunier still red wine from the Champagne region. Notes of red cherry, strawberries, cranberry, pomegranate & bramble. A touch of minerals and soft tannins. A slightly sour on the finish with great acidity and a velvety texture. This wine is a surprising delight, and something different when you’re looking for a delicious alternative to red Burgundy. No added sulphites.

Story: Franck Pascal was one of the first biodynamic growers in Champagne and remains one of its most passionate and gifted winemakers. He has made Coteaux Champenois still wines since 2014. Still wine from the region is pretty rare, especially from the northernmost areas, where the climate hovers on the edge for fully ripening grapes. But Pinot Noir likes cool climates, and Franck has coaxed its acidity and tenseness into a vibrant, fresh Coteaux Champenois.

Vinification: 45 year-old vines growing on chalk, clay and limestone soils. Grapes are hand-harvested, gently pressed and fermented using only indigenous yeasts. Aged in oak barrels for XX months. Unfined and unfiltered, with zero sulfites.

Match it with: Veal with cranberry, duck confit, mushroom dishes, soft cheeses.
