Terroir: The parcel is located in the municipality of Beru, 300m above sea level, around the castle. The vine plot is surrounded by a wall dating from the 12th century with an orientation South / South-West. The soil is made up of Lime and clay (tertiary) dating from the Kimmeridgian. Bedrock outcrop.

Vinification: Grapes are hand-harvested // whole-bunch long gentle press cycle // natural fermentation (with indigenous yeasts) // 100% malolactic fermentation // light cold gross lees racking vatting and alcoholic fermentation in oak // ageing for 3 & ½ years in Oak // bottled by hand in Magnum only // 300 numbered magnums // no added sulphites. 

This 2017 vintage presents a perfect balance. It will undoubtedly remain an anthology vintage with very good aging potential.
