A 100% Ribolla Gialla that is the expression of a single plot. Deep orange colour and a nutty, apricot nose. Orange peel and cranberry on the palate. A slightly oxidised note and more concentration and body than the other Ribolla Gailla.

Story: In a tiny village in the far northeast corner of Italy, Saša Radikon produces arguably the finest skin-contact wines in the world. Saša is revered around the world as a pioneer and absolute master of macerated wines. Ribolla Gialla a local grape that is rarely found outside of the region, but it has historical significance and was common on the tables of the Venetian nobles in the 13th century. Saša says it is the most important grape he grows and he is leading its current renaissance. Ribolla has thick skins, making it ideal for maceration, and is known to make the most powerful, fruit-driven skin contact wines with outstanding ageing potential. This is a limited production a single parcel wine, made only in the best vintages– so far only 2007 and 2008. The number 3781 indicates the parcel directly below the Radikon cellar, and Saša considers it the finest Ribolla Gialla. before release. Has excellent ageing potential

Vinification: Grapes are carefully chosen, hand-harvested and gently crushed. The juice is left to macerate on the skins for 3 months in oak vats. The grapes are then co-fermented in oak with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for 36 months in large 25/35hl oak casks, then it is bottled and aged for a further 10 years in bottle before release. No added sulphur.
