This cuvée marks the birth year of Domaine Josmeyer.

Terroir: The grapes come from a selection of plots located in the Herrenweg of Wintzenheim. Moving away from the route of the Fecht, on its southern part, the alluvium is gradually covered with loess plating. It is a silt of a pale yellow colour, very fine, sandy, calcareous and clayey. This type of terroir gives rise to denser and more complex wines.

Vinification:
Harvested by hand and pressed whole pneumatically (between 5 and 8 hours), the grapes naturally transfer their aromas to the must. They ferment spontaneously without adding enzymes or selected yeasts, and without chaptalisation. After fermentation lasting from one to four months, they are aged in century-old oak barrels.
