"Bastingage" is the flagship white wine for Clos de l'Elu. The grapes come from 3 different parcels (Les Barres, L'Aiglerie, Chaumes), which are vinified separately and blended at the end of the ageing process. "Bastingage" is the name for the rail that goes around a sailboat.
Terroir: Schistes, Quartz
Average age of vines: 30 years old
Vinification: Grapes are hand-harvested then pressed. The wine ferments and ages for 12 month in old oak barrel. Malolactic fermentation happens.
