Seafood & Fish
A fantastic introduction to Corsican wine, this delightful Vermentino is full of fresh aromas of citrus and orchard fruits balanced with beautiful acidity and a great minerality. If smoked salmon is on the menu, this is your guy.
A magnificent blend of Trebbiano, Vermentino and traditional Tuscan varieties, the Palistorti Bianco delivers a complexity of ripe fruits, with a refreshing minerality and savoury saline characters. Perfectly balanced, this wine is moreish, elegant and capable of pairing with almost any dish, but would be the perfect fit with a beautiful piece of roast hake.
There is no other way to describe Radikon except to say that it's one of the best around. This is one of Radikon's flagship wines - an elegantly aromatic blend of Chardonnay & Tocai Friulano that would pair beautifully with roast pork and dishes with an Asian influence.
2017, Rioja "Garnacha" Bodegas Moraza
Each of Moraza's wines is a single varietal, enabling them to focus on the grape's true expression. This vibrant Garnacha Tinta bursts with red and dark fruit flavours and finishes with a smooth velvety texture. So if your choice on Christmas Day is a glazed roast ham, this bottle should take pride of place on your table.
Fanny Sabre's wines offer the perfect balance between masculinity and femininity, tannins and acidity, fruit and aroma. This Pinot Noir is matured in old oak barrels leaving an elegant, earthy-driven expression lifted by refreshing red fruit notes. Dangerously easy to drink and the perfect accompaniment to duck breast.
2015, Weinland "Joschuari" Gut Oggau
Joschuari is made from 100% Blaufränkisch grape, one of Austria's most delicious red grape varieties! It offers a mouth-watering intensity of black and red fruits, balanced with a rich earthy character. For those of you planning the ultimate Beef Wellington, look no further...
2003, VDF "Clos Milan" Domaine Milan
The 2003 Clos Milan is a bright, fruit-forward example from Provence in the south of France. The purity and complexity of Clos Milan 2003 make this a show-stopping wine, one that everyone wants on their Christmas table this year and the ideal companion to a slow-roast lamb shoulder.
This wine has elegant, ripe fruit aromas of orchard fruits as well as some honey and floral characters, accented with marzipan notes and the occasional hints of mushroom — a great match with your rich chestnut velouté or nut roast wellington.
This 100% Mauzac wine, develops an element of sweetness and a rich nutty character that perfectly complements the caramelised flavours of roasted vegetable dishes.
"This wine is Christmas pudding in a bottle!"
Cheese & Pudding
This wine is considered some of the best in the region. There's not much more one can say other than that it's a match made in heaven. Pair this masterpiece with a hunk of nutty Comté and you'll think all your Christmases have come at once!
A fantastic introduction to sweet wine. The late-harvest on the Manseng grapes are full of fresh aromas of exotic fruits balanced with a beautiful acidity, each layer revealing something new. The sweetness is perfectly balanced by a razor-sharp acidity that cuts right through – making it a very versatile wine that pairs equally as well with poached quince and pear as it can with foie gras.
Looking for the perfect wine and chocolate pairing… look no further… Rimage is a brilliant and vibrant fortified wine, offering plenty of black fruit and chocolatey flavours that will hit the sweet spot.
This is, hands down, one of the most incredible Banyuls ever produced. The flavours are truly unique...this is Christmas Pudding in a bottle.
