Mas des Agrunelles

Stéphanie Ponson and Frédéric Porro, who live together and are associates at Mas des Agrunelles, like to say: “We have first met thanks to wine, and now wine unites us in this enterprise”. 

Fred and Stéphanie have a completely different background: Frédéric, who did not come from a family working in the wine industry, created is own Domaine “La Marele” in 2000 (see page 23). Right from the start he focused on low yield and high quality wines sold to a few wine amateurs. Stéphanie took over the family Domaine “Mas Nicot” (see page 22) in 2004. Their passion for wine and their desire to learn and innovate permanently led them to the decision of creating a third Domaine: Mas Des Agrunelles. Every year, in their 4 small tanks, they experiment some new cuvées. They keep these wines for their family and friends and the best ones are sold as Mas Des Agrunelles. “Fleur Blanche”, “Barbaste”, “Carino”, “Carmin”, “Camp de Lebre” and “L’indigene” are the amazing results of these small-scale trials. Wines that reflect the terroir, the personality and the French and Spanish origins of Stéphanie and Frédéric.
